Sport Horse Championship Shows

Arabian Sport Horses are celebrated for their athleticism, strength, versatility, and beauty, making them a standout choice for a wide range of competitive disciplines. In Region 3, these horses showcase their abilities through events such as Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, Pleasure Carriage Driving, In-Hand classes, and more. The Region 3 Sport Horse Championship Show brings together some of the finest Arabian, Half-Arabian, and Anglo-Arabian equine athletes, offering riders, owners, and spectators an opportunity to experience the power, grace, and diversity of the Arabian Sport Horse firsthand.

New This Year

  • The show will run Monday through Sunday. Move-in day will be Friday, August 21.
  • Working western classes will be judged by one dedicated working western judge.
  • Main ring regional classes will be judged by Roxanne Schall and Greg Knowles.
  • Sport Horse and Dressage regional classes will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Pre-show halter will be held in the main arena
  • Regional Ranch Trail will be held separately from the other trail class.
  • In Hand Trail has been added to the trail division.
  • Regional reining classes have been spread out over 3 sessions.
  • Barn party will be Wednesday night.

Region 3 Championship Show will be featuring the TAIL a program once again! The TAIL program, or the “Total Arabian Interaction & Learning” is a FREE guided tour of the horse show! Spectators will meet at the TAIL Booth on the upper mezzanine of the Reno Livestock Events Center. All ages are welcome to come learn about and meet the Arabian horse! Come on down and take a TAIL tour at the Reno Livestock Events Center. FREE tours FREE parking.
